AMERICAN BEAUTY
2000 MARE

American Beauty won the Broodmare class at the 2006 International Show.  Beauty was already a Champion producer when she became a Champion herself.  Her first Foal, Evanescence, was the 2005 National High Point Champion in Longe Line.  She has also won many In-Hand Trail classes including the Eastern Classic in 2005 & 2006.  American Beauty is the oldest of three full sisters we have retained for broodmares.

American Beauty is sired by Post Commandoe ApHC.  Her dam is I Am A Lucky Little Lady.

American Beauty was bred, conditioned & is owned by Rorick's POAs.

     
     
NICKAJACK
2000 GELDING

Shane Hampton & Nickajack won Showmanship 13-18 Boys at the 2006 International Show.

2006 was this team's first year together.  They had a good first year together & placed in the top 4 in several other International Show classes.  The future looks bright for Shane & Nickajack.

Nickajack is sire by Country Coosa AQHA.  His dam is Ricochet Back to Bounce.

Nickajack was bred by Rorick's & sold as a three year old at the Texas POA Sale at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
       
     
PIKACHU
1999 GELDING

Pikachu is the 2004 World Show Champion Age Large Gelding.  He also won the Yearling Gelding class at the 2000 International Show. Pikachu has been successfully shown by the Hinrichs family. He is one of the toughest halter geldings in the breed today.

Pikachu is sired by Abdull's Grand Son. His dam is Lauralee Fantazi ApHC.

Pikachu was bred by Rorick's & sold at the Int. Sale as a weanling.

     
     
THE CRIMSON KID
1999 GELDING

The Crimson Kid won the Three Year Old Gelding class at the 2002 Int. Show. At the same show Stephanie Schroeder & The Crimson Kid won 9-12 Girls Western Pleasure. 

At the 2004 International Show Chelsea Bain & The Crimson Kid won Jr Western Pleasure. This pair also won the two big Futurities this same International Show. The Leonard Lewis Memorial Futurity & the McClaren Memorial Futurity. Both of these Futurities are very prestigious. 

The Crimson Kid is sired by Kid O Tough. Scarlet Moon is the dam to The Crimson Kid. The Kid O Tough, Scarlet Moon cross has become a popular cross. Many people ask each year what this cross produced. Scarlet Moon is a great granddaughter of Easter King AQHA, & Roman's Straw Man ApHC

The Crimson Kid was bred by Rorick's & sold as a Yearling at the Int. Sale.

     
     
PICABO STREET
1998 MARE

Picabo Street started her show career as a two year old. She was shown very successfully in JPFC by Darren Vincent. She then started her youth career again in winning fashion with Whitney Jarvis.

At the 2003 International Show Picabo Street & DeeAnn McBride won the High Point Junior Pony Award. At that same show Picabo finished second out of 40 entries in the tough 13-18 Reining class. First place went to her older half brother, The Crisco Kid.

Picabo Street is now headed for another career this time in 8 & Under. She is currently being ridden by 6 year old Mikel Herman.

Picabo Street is sired by Kid O Tough. Her dam, Lucky Little Lady ID POA, has produced five foals, all fillies. 

Picabo Street was bred by Rorick's & sold at the Int. Sale as a yearling.

     
     
JAG
1998 GELDING

Jag won the Three Year Old Stallion class at the 2001 International Show.

 
At the 2001 International Futurity Crystal Smith & Jag won the JPFC 3 & 4 Year Old Western Pleasure Futurity.  Jag is now a gelding continuing his successful career in Iowa with Rusty Martin's family.

Jag is sired by Kid O Tough.  Jag's dam, Flatrock's Legacy, produced six foals by Kid O Tough.  Jag was her last foal.  Flatrock's Legacy is a granddaughter of two well known Quarter Horse stallions, Boston Mac & Beau's My Daddy.  

Jag was bred by Rorick's & sold as a weanling at the International Sale.

     
     
BOUNCE BACK JACK
1991 STALLION

Bounce Back Jack was campaigned heavily as a yearling winning the World Show that year.  He also was named the Grand Champion Stallion at the 1992 International Show.  He is one of the great looking stallions in our breed. Jack is owned by Larry and Dawn Caswell of Dassel, MN.

Bounce Back Jack is a full brother to Bet On Bounce.

Bounce Back Jack was bred by Rorick's. His dam was sold while in foal.

     
     
THE CRISCO KID
1989 GELDING

The Crisco Kid is Kid O Tough's first foal. Crisco is a big reason why Kid O Tough is a household name in the POA world. Crisco has won International Show classes in all four divisions, 19 & Over, 13-18, 9-12, & 8 & Under. Tracy Porter, Cody Porter, Maggie Lograsso, & Samantha Gallagher have all won International Show Championships with Crisco. He is one of the top show geldings in the breed today.

As mentioned The Crisco Kid is sired by Kid O Tough. Crisco's dam is Doc's Double Sweet, an ID POA mare. This mare was a great producer. She is the full sister to Int. Sh. Champions & Ch. Sires, Doc's Tough Dude, & Doc's Built Tough.

The Crisco Kid was bred by Rorick's & sold as a weanling.

BET ON BOUNCE
1988 GELDING

Bet On Bounce placed second in the Three Year Old Stallion class at the 1991 International Show. At that same show Kris Sand & Bet On Bounce were second in JPFC Western Pleasure 3 & 4 Year Olds.

Bet On Bounce was later gelded & is still enjoying a show career in Nebraska.
Bet On Bounce also became an International Show Champion sire when he sired Sweeten Bounce.

Bet On Bounce is sired by Another Bounce ApHC. His dam is the legendary mare OZ's Sweet Speculation. 

Bet On Bounce was bred by Rorick's & sold as a yearling.

     
     
SUSIE TOUGH DOTS
1988 MARE

Susie Tough Dots & Jenny Meisner won the Kindergarten English Pleasure class at the 1990 International Show. The pair also placed second in Kindergarten Western Pleasure. 

At the 1991 International Show Jenny & Susie Tough Dots won the tough 13-18 Girls Western Pleasure class out of 52 entries.  They also won the Jr Western Pleasure class that year.

Susie has had several different riders over the years & has developed into an all-around show POA.
Susie Tough Dots is a full sister to Ruby & Sandy Tough Dots.


Susie Tough Dots was bred by Rorick's & sold at three weeks old.

     
     
RUBY TOUGH DOTS
1986 MARE

Ruby Tough Dots won the Minnesota Futurity as a weanling. As a yearling she won 28 firsts at 32 shows & was the High Point Yearling Filly in the Nation. She also won the Most Colorful class at the 1987 International Show. Ruby has enjoyed a successful show career in MI & TX.

Ruby Tough Dots is sired by East Acres Chip O Tough & out of East Acres Arrow. Arrow produced 18 foals & four became International Show Champions.

THE STARS AND SPOTS KID
2004 GELDING
The Stars & Spots Kid started his show career in 2006 with the Shingleton family of Indiana.

Campaigned in three classes, The Stars & Spots Kid picked up many titles during the year.  However the most impressive accomplishment of the season was being the Nation High Point Champion for Two Year Old Geldings, Longe Line, & In-Hand Trail.  In fact "Nemo" as Shalene Shingleton calls him, gained more halter points in 2006 than any other POA shown during that year.  1042 points places The Stars & Spots Kid 226 points ahead of the next closest halter POA, which happened to be a Three Year Old Mare.

The Stars & Spots Kid is sired by Kid O Tough.  His dam is Sonny Dee Bar Rosa AQHA.

The Stars & Spots Kid was bred by Rorick's & sold as a yearling at the International Sale.

     
     
EVANESCENCE
2004 MARE
Evanescence was the 2005 National High Point Champion in Longe Line.  She has also won many In-Hand Trail classes including the Eastern Classic in 2005 & 2006.

As a baby Evanescence was tiny but a beautiful mover.  Eva Evans had to have Evanescence.  This duo has done well the past two years where ever they show.

Evanescence is sired by Kid O Tough.  Her dam is International Champion American Beauty.

Evanescence was bred by Rorick's & sold as a weanling at the International Sale.

     
     
THE CHEROKEE KID
2004 GELDING

The Cherokee Kid was the 2 Year Old Champion Gelding at the 2006 Western Classic.  He was also the Reserve Grand Champion Gelding & The High Point JPFC 2 Year Old at that show.  At the 2006 Rocky Mountain Regional Cherokee won his Halter Class, & was the Junior, & Reserve Grand Champion Gelding.  The Cherokee Kid won all the JPFC Classes at the Rocky Mountain Regional & Western Classic.

The Cherokee Kid is ready to move on to a Show Family.  He is also still eligible for JPFC.

THE SHOWDOWN KID
2002 GELDING

The Showdown Kid's show career just started this year. Ashley McKenzie & The Showdown Kid had a very successful first year.  They racked up Performance Championships at the Eastern Classic, Midwest Regional Show, & the World Show, just to name a few. 

The Showdown Kid is a full brother to The Crimson Kid.

The Showdown Kid was bred by Rorick's & sold at the Int. Sale as a yearling.

     
     
SANDY TOUGH DOTS
1983- 2004 MARE

Sandy Tough Dots was the first of the "Tough Dots line"
Sandy was given to the Schultz family of Edina, MN as a two year old. Susie Schultz & Sandy Tough Dots became a very tough team. From 1986-1989 this duo gathered many Regional, World, & High Point titles. At the 1988 International Show Susie & Sandy Tough Dots won Western Riding 13-18. They also won English Pleasure Girls 13-18 with 67 entries.

Sandy Tough Dots was the first famous POA to come from our place. She spent most of her life with the Schutlz family. She spent her first to years at Rorick's & her last two.

Because of Sandy's success three full sisters carried her name, Ruby, Susie, & Heather Tough Dots.

Sandy Tough Dots' dam, East Acres Arrow was purchased by Rorick's when Sandy was eight days old.

     
     
SALTY EYED LOOK
1997 STALLION

Salty Eyed Look won the Red Earth Futurity as a weanling in 1997. Salty Eyed Look grew up to be one of the better looking small stallions in the breed. At the 2001 International Show Salty Eyed Look won the Small Stallion class.

Salty Eyed Look is sired by Salty Gotta Look. He is out of Boot Hill's Tet Ladie a POA granddaughter of Two Eyed Jack AQHA.

Salty & his mother came to Rorick's when Salty was two months old. He was sent here to be conditioned for Futurties but stayed here five years. 

Lynn Puffinbarger & Kent Rorick sold Salty Eyed Look at the 2002 Int. Sale. He is now owned by Bob and Bonnie Karnowski.
